ITALIAN MARITIME POSTCARDS & MARITIME HISTORY

WHO REMEMBER ' S THE ADRIATICA LINE SHIPS ESPERIA AND AUSONIA'S 1938 -1940 TERMINAL IN GENOA ? WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU
A maritime artist in Seattle wants to know the location and or name of the pier terminal or Ponte at which the Italian passenger ships Esperia or her company Adriatica Di Navigazione was receiving passengers traveling to Egypt and Palestine between 1938, 1939 or 1940. All the ships of this company were completely white and their yellow smoke funnels showed the fanciful Venice emblem of Saint Marks winged Lion. It is so far suspected that the pier terminal in question was Ponte Assereto at Terminal Traghetti where today's Grimaldi Line operate, though it is not known for certain. If anyone knows the actual pier terminal or ponte please reply to Ron in Seattle Washington at Jjraf93VC@aol.com, Your information in this regard will be acknowledged with the utmost appreciation.
